Airstream Argosy For Sale

This vintage Argosy was Airstream’s painted aluminum line—it’s cheaper to paint than to polish aluminum, and you get more choices of the “look”- and this model was one of the first with the great wraparound front windows. It’s in pretty good shape, but it still needs work and I have too many other projects, so I’d like it to have a good home. Asking $5500, which is a great price considering how much I’ve already put into it.
Details: Double-axle, 24-ft, rear bath, twin bed model; could sleep 5 (one twin folds out, and front dinette makes into a double bed). All appliances work great—A/C, furnace, stove, refrigerator, shower, toilet, waterheater, Univolt charging system, power jack.
Upgrades include: New upholstery, new tires, new exterior lights, new battery, new water heater (runs on propane or electricity), new propane hoses and regulator (tanks checked and certified July 2009) , new water and gas lines, wheel bearings, and brakes.
This is a great trailer—easy to tow, well-designed, and paintable! Unloaded weight 3500;

Problems: exterior is a bit rough (see pictures); awning frame damaged; floor has some water damage and is only partially replaced; a few broken cabinet latches, needs new shower curtain, and bathroom door slides roughly.Also the radio that is normally in the front overhead storage bin is gone (speakers seem to be there, however).

Interior is in very good shape, thoroughly cleaned and disinfected; the trailer has been in used in dry climates its whole life.

This trailer is light and tows beautifully; its unloaded trailer weight (per factory specs) is 3500 lb. I can haul it easily with my 2000 6-cylinder Ford Explorer! Which I would consider selling in a package deal)
Asking $5500, a great price for this unit; works great as is, will really shine with some additional work-even in its present state this camper turns heads.
