I’m selling a beautiful 1966 Vintage Airstream, 24’ tandem axle Trade Wind model (Configured with Two Double beds), with original wheels, that are very nice for the period. She is in fantastic condition and the interior is exceptional shape for the year as well. I was acquaintances of the previous owners and they did not smoke or have pets, and, there are no signs of smoking or pets from original owners before them that we can tell. It is well laid-out and functioned comfortably for our family of four with no sagging or floor issues. The previous owners re-floored the front section in bamboo, but it looks nice. This Airstream has dual propane tanks, three, ‘two-direction adjustable’ roof vents, and awning brackets at the lower base of unit, on the entrance side which seems a little strange as there were none installed by the factory or other up top? I’m assuming it was an option not selected. The exterior skin is really nice with only a few blemishes, so although not perfect, she is well on her way to becoming a shimmering palace. Unit had been previously stored in an airplane hangar and it shows in person.

The interior has the stock hardware which often are stripped, changed and/or missing. The unit comes with a clear title, excellent hauling/turning size, and even at a dry weight of 4000#’s and a tongue weight of approx. 500#’s (10%-15% of 4000#’s), we hauled without any issues using 3500# rated 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser (six cylinder) with the 7-Pin blade-type brake controller hooked-up. I replaced the front jack with a quality 2000# unit with foot base, as well as, repacked the wheel bearings and put tires last season, so they are newer with great tread and in excellent shape; Heavy Duty 12V Deep Cycle battery has worked just great and is typically on a Battery Tender. Everything appears to be in working order, but as with all older vehicles, etc, this unit is sold ‘as is’. Don’t expect this one to last, Only $8,400.00 OBO! You’ll see several ‘lesser’ units sell for more than we are seeking here. Body and interior are in great shape, floor is solid and this one will polish out beautifully if one so chooses, it’s almost already there, if you know what I mean. I’ve only recently decided to sell this unit and realized I didn’t have shots of her from earlier, so please excuse the recent blizzard pics taken). If memory serves, the title states 25’, but that is common and she is a 24’ unit. Email me if more pics are desired, and I’ll try to get them to you soon as possible.
