Airstream Argosy For Sale

Thank you for looking at my motorhome.

Ok, I am selling an Airstream motor home originaly a special order for a school district in Ohio as a Book Mobile. So all it had in it were seats and extra flourescent lighting. This Book Mobile program ended prematurely and this vehicle along with other Argosy’s were stored. There they sat for years until finally they were all sold off 2yrs. ago as I understand it. Hence the low milage. (26,000mi.) The second owner performed the conversion installing kitchen cabinets, shower, toilet etc. It has a generator, roof air and a new custom hitch. I am the third owner.

In addition the frt. tires are new, rear v. good. It has new Super Steer frt. coils and Stengle Bros. Ex H. duty rear springs. All new shocks (Monroe). Since the frt. coils were out they replaced the ball joints as well. All new sway bar bushings. The front calipers, master cyl. are new and pads all the way around. It floats down the road. It also has new electric side view mirrors. Freshly painted, we just drove it here from Ohio.

If your not familiar with these Argosy’s they are solidly built on the tried and true Chevrolet P- 30 chassis. This particular one has the 454 eng. with the Turbo 400 trans. (plenty of power and shifts smoothly) from the factory then Airstream builds there traditional body over this. It is a double hull aluminum body with aluminum frame. An excellent combination and platform to do anything with! Parts are readily available for the running gear as P-30’s are everywhere. This vehicle just passed smog and I have a Notorized title. I have original Airstream and Chevrolet manuals.
